Wereperf (Perfpal subtype)
Wereperfs are a mutated Perfpal caused by a Perfpal losing their scent tag. The scent tag helps a Perfy regulate the magic keeping their body together, and if it's lost they can't control it any longer! Their body grows, seams split, claws sprout from each paw, and they gain a sharper more ferocious appearance!
Every October, every user can make a Wereperf form for an existing Perfpal! These are submitted as new images on the Perfpal's original masterlist entry under the Wereperf subtype. Wereperfs cannot be made any other time of the year.
Zombie Perfpals (Perfpal subtype)
Zombie Perfpals are mutated Perfpals caused by a strange biohazard in the Wicked Wildlands. Normal Perfpals cannot enter the Wicked Wildlands. If they do, they will meet their end by becoming a Zombie Perfpal. Their body more closely resembles a deer's as the infection takes over them. In stage 3 of the infection: the Perfpal becomes irreversible, forever stuck as a Zombie Perfpal. 
Perfpal infection takes place within just 3 weeks At first it's not very noticeable within the Perfpal since they already have a relation to the cervidae family. Soon it slowly starts to overgrow within the Perfpal's body. Antlers sprout out of the perfpal's head, big scent glands form under the perfpal's eyes as they yellow, their muzzle elongates, and the hooves deform into two The most noticeable traits are the within their mouths and patches. The patch rejects the Perfpal not wanting to seal its life with magic any longer, and the stuffing starts to "boil" out of the body. Now knocking on death's door, these Perfpals are immune to pain. They sew themselves back together when their body parts fall off, and can't tell their limbs have broken into strange positions.

Paraperf (Perfpal subtype)
Paraperfs are a special collaboration species between Perfpals and Paraghosties (owned by our friend Pixie) and can only be made once a year! Every year brings a new set of traits for them, and as a collaboration species, they don't go to the main Perfpal masterlist and instead are added to our collaboration masterlist! Shi-pal (Perfpal subtype)
Shi-Pals are a special collaboration species between Perfpals and Shinks (owned by our friends Sleepy and Snuss) and can only be made during September of 2024! As a collaboration species, they don't go to the main Perfpal masterlist and instead are added to our collaboration masterlist! The traits for Shi-Pals are available here!
Chico Danza (Pet subtype)
These creatures come along with your perf to the beach to dance! They're always female.
Make as many of these as you'd like, any and all perfpals can have these!
Last-Oh (Pet subtype)
While they might moo and huff, their tails can be quite powerful... These pets use their tails to lasso food usually, but will sometimes try to catch other pets or even Perfpals, so it's advised to steer clear of them in the wild.
Make as many of these as you'd like, any and all perfpals can have these... Though it isn't suggested due to their tails being dangerous, careful!
Lacer (Pet subtype)
They can pick anything and everything up!... Even your own perfpal! These supernatural type creatures hover nearby, keep an eye on your belongings! Some of them have quite the habit of stealing things and keeping them in a little stash.
Make as many of these as you'd like, any and all perfpals can have these! Though they're usually seen with Alien Perfpals!
Aulathanet (Pet subtype)
Free to make perfpal pets. They are little light squids that use flashing lights to communicate. They cannot form bonds with perfpals, but they can be kept in tanks by them. They are monogamous creatures choosing 1 other Aulathanet to keep the company. They don’t do much but swim around.
