Welcome to Perfpals!

We thank you for joining us! Joining a new closed species can be confusing sometimes, so hopefully this page can answer some questions for you!

Linking a Toyhou.se Account

After signing up for an account and verifying your email (Which may take a few minutes! Be sure to check your spam folders if you didn't receive an email from us.) you'll be able to link a Toyhou.se account by going into Settings>Aliases. Note that we do not use DeviantArt to link Perfpals to user accounts, so while you are welcome to link a DA account, it will not link you to any Perfpals you own. Please link your main Toyhou.se account, and if you own multiple and have Perfpals on different accounts please let a staff member know so we can make sure they all get linked to you properly!

How can I get a Perfpal if I don't already have one?

By buying a guest artist design or obtaining an MYO ticket and submitting a design yourself! MYO tickets are purchasable in our discord server, but are also earnable through participating in events and prompts, so don't worry if you don't have money to spend on one! Participating in monthly prompts is the easiest way to get a free Common MYO ticket, and other tickets might be given away here or in our Discord!

Once you have a Perfpal, you can use other items like Threads and Ribbons to add special features to it! Every month brings a new free-to-use thread, where you can use any traits from it on your Perfpal as long as you submit it for approval during the month its available! Once the month is over, that thread goes away and is replaced with an all new set of free traits. Ribbons are pay-to-use items that are sold randomly in our Discord server or given away as prizes, and have a smaller trait pool.

When submitting a Perfpal design for approval, if you want to use the free thread you don't need it as an item! We will take that into account automatically when approving your Perf, we only need you to attach items if you're using past/permenant threads, ribbons, or other special items.

What are buttons? What's the Stitching Shop?

Buttons are the currency of the Perfpal world! You can earn them by participating in events and prompts, and they can be used to purchase exclusive items from the Stitching Shop! This currency can't be purchased, its meant to make it easier for people to earn items to customize their Perfpals with for free.

I already have items/MYO tickets from the Discord server! How do I add them to my account here?

First, make sure you have proof of every Perfpal item you own. Once you have all of that gathered,  you will submit a claim through Submit>Submit Claim.  Do not put just one link in the URL (Optional) section unless you have just one MYO/item.  In the comment, link your image proofs for every single thing you own. Do not use discord image links for this, as they break quickly! We recommend using a free website like Catbox or Imgur If you received them through a trade/gift include proof of that. Next, you will add the MYOs/items as rewards. Do not attach them to a character, leave that field blank. After submitting your claim all you need to do is wait for a moderator to verify it and you'll get your items!
*If you have lost proof of your MYO or item we cannot do anything to help. Users are responsible for gathering their screenshots on their own.

I own a Perfpal that isn't currently on the website, how can I get them uploaded to my account?

If you own a Perfpal that isn't currently on the website, you will need to submit a claim. Put the Perfpal's toyhouse link in the URL section. Optional but very helpful, you can list the traits in the comment section. Do not add any items to your claim or characters, just submit.

One of my Perfpals was uploaded with incorrect information, how can I fix it?

You may submit a Design Update request with the correct information by going to your Perfpal's page and clicking Update Design under the settings tab on the sidebar! Just like with claims, a moderator will verify your request and get your design updated as soon as possible!

I tried uploading an image, but it gave me a 500 error!

If you were uploading an image for an MYO and you got a 500 error code, it is most likely that the image you were trying to upload is too big! Try resizing it or optimizing it, an easy site that lets you do this is EZgif! The best way to do it is by making sure your image is less than 2000px on each side. If you've optimized your image and are still getting the error, feel free to contact a moderator about it instead.

Something on the site gave me an error, what should I do?

Bugs are inevitable on a site like this, if you should run into any errors please don't hesitate to submit a bug report! The link to submit one can be found at the bottom of every page, please include what you did to get the error and the error code it gave you! The more information you give us the easier it will be for us to fix it!
